This month’s newsletter is a little different to normal. We want to expand on what the future holds for the TBC2 project. We have hinted recently at big changes for the project after the distribution phase has been completed, following recent feedback from some of our community members we would like to give you some more information about this.
Rebranding and Migration:
First and foremost, following completion of the distribution phase we will be rebranding the project with a new name and moving the project to the Polygon Network.
When we initially started the TBC2 project we felt that using the “TBC” name would expose the project to the original TBC members and entice them to join our community-driven project.
Many users did in fact leave the original project and join us, however the uptake was not as extensive as we had expected and shortly after launching we realised that the TBC name simply gave off a bad-vibe to anyone who had been stung in the original project by the bad actor(s) who led things there.
It has been our intention for a long time to rebrand the TBC2 project to distance ourselves further, this is something we have always planned to do after completion of the distribution phase.
Rebranding the project with a new name will also give us the ability to move to a new chain. We have been looking at the Polygon Network for quite some time, and it has gone from strength to strength over the last few months. Polygon is a “commit chain” for Ethereum, meaning it offers the same level of security of the Ethereum network but considerably lower-operational costs, which is a key factor for cryptocurrencies to be successful.
As we approach the final distribution of Round 9 we will start to distribute more specific information about the rebranding, including the new name. We will also create detailed guides for all of our members with instruction about how to join the Polygon Network along with anything that members might need to know to ensure the move takes place without issue.
Rest assured, the migration to Polygon will require very little input from the users apart from adding “Polygon network” connections to your existing wallet(s).
A New Direction:
Until now, the token has always been a simple “payment coin” and the direction has been entirely driven by our grass-roots and word of mouth thinking. As we rebrand the project and move to Polygon we will also be looking to add more utility to the token itself.
While we cannot yet discuss specific information (as we are still working on several different parts of the rebranding process and we have been in talks with different platforms and projects on the Polygon network), we can say that the new utility will encompass DeFi, Yield Farming, Play-2-Earn gaming with NFT’s and Virtual-Land ownership (Metaverse).
TBC2 coin (with its new name on Polygon) will be required to take part in many aspects of this new direction, such as being able to obtain land in the Metaverse or earn yield through staking tokens in a DeFi platform.
Perhaps the most important new function for the token will be as the protocols “governance token” which allows all holders a weighted vote on key decisions about the future direction of the project.
We will continue to update the community via Newsletters and through our website as progress is made with the rebranding process. The actual rebranding and move to Polygon will take place after the final round 9 distribution has been completed, at which time we will finalise all commission payments to our affiliates who took part in our affiliate commission system early-on as well as the business sign-up bonus for businesses who joined our business initiative.
