In a world where technology is advancing at a staggering rate our planet feels smaller all the time.
So it begs the question, in such a high-tech world, why is our money still old?
In recent years we have seen many countries move towards “cashless” payment systems, with contactless cards and the ability to pay for goods with your phone, but the ‘money’ behind it remains the same old money, printed and controlled by a private company (The FED).
In our video we talk about how money has changed forms throughout history, from furs, beads, shells and precious metals to our current modern money, Fiat Currency.
As technology has grown over the years, we have seen email and SMS overtake traditional communication, we have seen the internet and social media overtake traditional print, with some magazines and newspapers shifting to only produce electronic forms of their media. We feel a similar shift is upon us now and we expect to see a gradual change in the way we interact with, and view our money. A change to a high-tech form of money, controlled not by private entities but controlled by math and a decentralised community from all around the world.
In our video we aim to give our viewers an introduction to Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies and a basic understanding of what cryptocurrencies actually are, how they work and why they have value.
