Exciting Times Ahead: A New Chapter Begins
To our incredible community,
We’re thrilled to share some truly transformative news today: The TBC2 Coin project will be merging with Surf The Web, a respected, well known and forward-thinking technology company, known for its innovative approach to web platforms and AI.
This merger marks the beginning of a new era—not just for our project, but for the entire community that has stood by us since 2017.
With this collaboration, we are combining our deep blockchain expertise with Surf The Web’s established brand and bold AI vision to create something bigger, stronger, and more capable than ever before. Together, we’re building a powerful new platform that will set a benchmark in the crypto and tech space.
As part of the merger:
- Our existing token will also be rebranded to a new token on a new blockchain.
- All existing holders will receive the new token on a 1:1 ratio via a smart-contract distribution, which will be on the Base blockchain —no user action will be required initially.
- The new token will form the core financial layer across all Surf The Web platforms.
- All undistributed tokens (promo and charity allocations etc) will contribute to the new treasury under Surf The Web, supporting development and expansion.
Around mid-June, the TBC2 Coin site as you know it now, will be updated and will direct users to view the STW website with the merger news.
More information about the token swap from TBC2 Coin, to the new coin STWCoin, will follow via Surf The Web (STW) website at a later date. As above, no user action will be required initially, and we will provide additional information and guidance to existing users about how to see new token allocations after the new coin has been allocated.
To ensure long-term growth, and to support post-merger funding efforts, existing token holders’ distributions will be subject to a 12-month vesting period, during which transfers will be disabled.
We understand this may raise questions, but it is a necessary step to build something lasting and impactful and allows Surf The Web the required time to build value for the community. To help smooth the transition, existing token holders will receive a 10% bonus added to their vested balance.
This merger is a tremendous opportunity for our entire community—an evolution of our mission with a more focused future, more resources, a broader reach, and a long-term vision aligned with true innovation.
Handing over the reins
As part of this evolution, I will be stepping down from my role as Admin.
It has been an unforgettable journey leading this project since its inception in 2017, and I’m proud of everything that we have achieved together.
Moving forward, leadership will transition to our trusted International Marketing Director, Dr. Robert Parry, who has been with us since the start and who some of you have come to know well over the years, and to the talented Surf The Web team, ensuring continuity and user-focused development.
This is not the end—it’s the beginning of something far greater.
